All Over the Empire

Ommegangsters spread out all over the Empire State this past weekend and posted some pretty sweet results.

Where were we?  Brooklyn, Inlet, Saranac Lake, Wilmington and the Buffalo area.  Dave B with a top 10 in  Brooklyn at Prospect Park, a batch at Black Fly in Inlet (see previous post) with lots of top 10, Eric G with a silver & bronze at the NYS crit champs in Saranac Lake, Eric K with a top 10 at the Wilmington-Whiteface RR, and Jim R at the Hamburg RR out near Buffalo.

All in all a great weekend for the team with one big exception.  If you look at the Hamburg results, you'll see Jim R without a designated finishing spot or result.  That is because he unfortunately got brought down in the sprint which earned him a trip to the ER/urgent care.  Sadly he has the requisite road rash but the real damage was to his wrist & ribs.  A busted wrist (with a pending surgical procedure to insert a screw as it was a bad type of break) as well as a few cracked ribs.  The dude is sore and bummed as he was just getting his cycling legs going good but despite the setback, he's in relatively good spirits
and looking ahead to see what's on the cycling calendar.
