BCTC 2009 -- Abbey Road (Bands, Beers & Beatles)

Mark 'yer calenders -- Belgium Comes to Cooperstown (BCTC) this year from July 31 through August 1. More importantly, if you want tickets to BCTC (which can disappear faster than your 401k), you best note that they go on sale on April 1 at noon.

This year's theme, for those that haven't quite caught on, is Abbey Road ... if you still are wondering, think Ommegang Abbey Ale .

This is an incredible event for those that are fond of a good brew and good times. How's over 200 beers to sample sound? And if you wish to stay close, camping opportunities will be available right on the brewery grounds.

There will be volunteer opportunities ....so if you wish to volunteer, please contact John Tuchowski at john@ommegang.com.

Forkful of Soul

Recent news from our friends at Soul Cycles:

The gurus at Soul Cycles are away at the Taipei Show but they've also been working on a (US made!) carbon XC fork for the Dillinger & Hooligan frames. They're currently testing some dampening additives for the forks so we eagerly await. This will definitely come as welcome news for the Dillinger & Hooligan crowd. Looks like they still have some amazing discount frames still wiating for a good home as well.
The blue Dillinger beauty here can only get sexier with a carbon fork.

What are you doing the weekend of ....

June 13 ?
While it seems a fair portion of Team SCARR-Ommegang is more of the World of Outlaws (woO) mindset when it comes to bike racing, we do have some Indy Car types as well.

But first things first ..... April 11 ?? Check Your Legs -- a race put on by our friends at CNYC (and it's pretty close to Brewery Ommegang !)

Now in June, over the 13th & 14th, you best start your plans (lies, pleading, schemes, bribes, etc.) to be in the 'dacks. If you want Indy Car, go here .... Adirondack North Country Race Weekend.

If you want World of Outlaws, go here ..... Black Fly Challenge

Or .. double up, WoO 13th, Indy 14th.
