Possible NYSBRA Grant Guidelines

NYSBRA receives $10 for each annual USAC license sold to New York riders, so this would be one of the ways to help support the racing community in NY by supporting programs that clubs and individuals already have in process or would like to start. Possible NYSBRA Grant Guidelines ...

Must hold a USA Cycling license in the state of New York
To be submitted to (Secretary? VP? Prez?)
Grant addresses the following considerations:
-- Purpose for the grant
-- What the benefit would be for the local area and/or statewide
-- Amount requested
-- How the money will be spent
-- Budget
-- Previous experience with event
-- Contact info: name, address, phone, club affiliation, e-mail address
-- Others ??
Grants to be considered for the following activities:
-- Training camps/clinics
-- Emphasis on women and juniors is encouraged
-- Riders needing funds for national/world participation (need to set a limit here)
-- Officials clinics
-- Help with state championship promoting (need to set a limit here)
-- Others ??
Upon acceptance of grant, applicant is to show the NYSBRA logo on all literature for the event, and state on the flyer “This event made possible by a grant from the New York State Bicycle Racing Association”.
After the event, applicant is to write a written report to NYSBRA about the event and how the grant helped make the event a success. An itemization of expenses used with the grant funds is to be provided.
